The Diplomat
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, José Manuel Albares, held a telephone conversation yesterday with his Norwegian counterpart, Anniken Huitfeldt, in which, among other matters, the situation in Ukraine was discussed, according to diplomatic sources.
On his Twitter account, Albares said that he had discussed with the Norwegian minister possible ways and future political contacts to strengthen cooperation between the two countries, “also within the framework of our alliance in NATO”.
The conversation took place on the same day that the Norwegian air force identified a group of Russian aircraft in the North Sea, close to allied space. It was a mother plane together with several bombers performing in-flight refuelling missions.
