Until 27 March Casa de México presents the exhibition Root and Rhizome. Mexico in the Otazu Collection, a selection of works by artists from the contemporary Mexican art scene.

The exhibition includes works in different formats: video-performance, sculpture and textiles, by the artists Teresa Margolles, Ximena Labra, Héctor Zamora, María Sosa, Iñaki Bonillas, Edgardo Aragón, Fernando Palma, Fritzia Iríza, Tania Candiani, Marilá Dardot, Oscar Santillán and Carlos Arias. The Otazu Foundation was created in 2015 with the aim of managing and directing a wide-ranging programme of activities around the contemporary art collection and the Bodega Otazu art centre in Navarra. The programme is based on supporting the talent of established international artists, as well as supporting young creators, curators and art educators. One of the fundamental pillars of the Otazu collection is its focus on young artists, especially those coming from or working in the Latin American region. The Otazu contemporary art collection currently has around 1,200 pieces.
