On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of its creation, Casa de América will hold, throughout 2022, various special programmes with the participation of personalities from the audiovisual field who stand out in their professional work.
The first of these, co-organised with Wanda Visión, will take place from the 17th to the 20th of January and will be dedicated to the Peruvian filmmaker Claudia Llosa, who has one of the most solid and recognised careers in contemporary Latin American cinema. At 6.30 p.m. on the 17th, there will be a dialogue about art and creation, a journey between image and word, word and image, with the filmmaker Claudia Llosa and the prominent writer and journalist Renato Cisneros. A journey through the construction process of their films, which the Madrid public will have the opportunity to discover or revisit in this special programme. After the conversation, on Monday 17, his latest film Distancia de rescate (2021), world premiere in the official section of the San Sebastian International Film Festival, will be screened for the first time at 20:00 hours in the Iberia hall of the Casa de América.
