Marilyn Monroe comes back to life with the singer Jimena González at La Sala

The Argentinian actress, singer and dancer Jimena González presents the musical show entitled Piano blanco, a musical pause with one of the greatest icons in history, Marilyn Monroe, and a very close encounter with a woman who only seeks to find herself, on 10, 17, 24 and 31 January at 8.30 pm at La Sala (Calle Palos de la Frontera, 3, Madrid).

In 1961, Marilyn was mistakenly committed to a mental hospital and, in her own words, her stay there was one of the most wonderful performances of her career. Legend has it that she tried to make the mistake known using her acting tools, but it was not until three days later that the mistake was acknowledged. This event is perhaps one of the least known facts in the history of the icon, and in this play it is she herself who comes clean and narrates in her own words those mythical and unknown days of confinement.

The singer Jimena González has devised this show, with music and lyrics by Juan Pablo Schapira, book and direction by Marcelo Caballero and Dustin Calderón at the piano. Tickets can be purchased at this link.
