From 7 to 12 February 2022, the Centro Cultural Coreano is organising the first Korean e-sports tournament in Spain with the aim of promoting this important part of the contemporary culture of the Republic of Korea.
The tournament will take place at Beehive Gaming Box (Calle del Tutor 30, Madrid), a venue in the purest style of the best Korean PC bangs. In this first edition, the main game will be Pubg Battlegrounds, developed by the Korean company Krafton. In this game, up to 100 players fight to be the last man standing and cooperative and communication skills are encouraged as well as planning and problem-solving skills. During the first five days of the competition, more than 200 participants will compete for a place in the grand final to be held on Saturday 12th at 12 noon. The best classified participants will compete for a cash prize of €1,000 for first place, €500 for second place and €300 for third place. Those interested can register from 27 December until 31 January via the website of the Korean Cultural Centre in Spain. The event will be streamed on the centre’s Twitch page and commented by renowned casters from the Spanish national scene.
