Madrid’s Teatro de la Zarzuela presents its traditional Christmas Concert on Thursday 30 December at 8pm, under the musical direction of Guillermo García Calvo.
Soprano Sabina Puértolas and tenor José Bros will perform a varied programme of the best pieces from zarzuelas, with the Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid and the Coro titular del Teatro de la Zarzuela, all under the baton of conductor Antonio Fauró. You will be able to enjoy such delightful pieces as Aunque soy de La Mancha, Pan y toros (1864); Me llaman la primorosa, El barbero de Sevilla (1901); Bella enamorada, El último romántico (1928); Aquí están los que buscamos, El barberillo de Lavapiés (1874), or the Preludio, El año pasado por agua (1889).
