This evening at 7:30 p.m., Casa Árabe in Madrid will be screening the documentary El vestido prestado (The Borrowed Dress), by director Leen Alfaisal, in which she portrays the flight from Syria of three members of the same family, the details of their personal stories and their desire to be reunited. Screening in the original version with Spanish subtitles.

Grandmother Susu (80 years old), her daughter Doaa (50 years old) and her grandson Saad (16 years old) are forced to flee Syria after the beginning of the revolution to live in different scattered places with the only thing they have left: to share their desire to be reunited. The details of their personal stories and human experiences reflect the two poles of this tragic story: on the one hand, a population that has spread across the world and, on the other, a homeland that could have changed forever. The cast includes Siham Abu Nabbout, Doaa Al Zoabi and Saad Alkuwatly.
