The permanent secretary of the Council of Ibero-American Businessmen (CEIB) and general director of International and Institutional Relations of the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations (CEOE), Narciso Casado, has been in the Dominican Republic since yesterday to advance the preparatory work for the XIV Ibero-American Business Meeting, to be held in Santo Domingo in 2022 within the framework of the Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government.
Casado -who is traveling accompanied by the Ibero-American Secretary General (SEGIB) ad interim, Marcos Pinta Gama– will hold high-level meetings with Dominican authorities and with representatives of prominent business institutions and organizations, such as the president of CEIB and of the Dominican Republic Employers’ Confederation-COPARDOM, William Matías Ramírez.
Likewise, the CEIB permanent secretary will take part in the High Level Preparatory Meeting of the XIV Ibero-American Business Meeting, to be held tomorrow, Tuesday, at the Convention Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic. The main objective of this meeting is to coordinate the roadmap for the next business meeting with SEGIB and the island’s business organizations, grouped under the COPARDOM umbrella.
The meeting will be attended, among other authorities, by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic, Roberto Álvarez Gil; the Minister of Labor, Luis Migues de Campo; and the Minister of Industry, Commerce and SMEs, Ito Bisonó. The XIV Ibero-American Business Meeting will be organized by SEGIB, CEIB and COPARDOM. This business meeting will also have the full support of the rest of the business organizations of the Dominican Republic, which are already coordinated for this purpose,
During the meeting, SEGIB’s Head of Economy and Business, Pablo Adrián Hardy, will address the lessons learned from previous business meetings and Summits of Heads of State and Government and will analyze the thematic agenda for the next meeting. Narciso Casado will offer his vision from the private sector and the executive vice-president of COPARDOM, Pedro Rodríguez, will present an agreement between business organizations of the Dominican Republic and the CEIB that will make possible the creation of a Committee for the Follow-up and Organization of the XIV Ibero-American Business Meeting. William Matías Ramírez will close the day.
