Within the framework of the XXI Science and Innovation Week, the Instituto Italiano de Cultura of Madrid is organising, this afternoon at 6 p.m., a meeting with the researcher of the MUSE of Trento (Museo delle Scienze – Science Museum) Chiara Fedrigotti (pictured), entitled Citizen Science at the MUSE of Trento.
Citizen participation in scientific research (better known as Citizen Science) is today an increasingly widespread approach with multiple applications in all fields of knowledge. Although this term has only recently entered our language, the contribution of enthusiasts and amateurs has always been an important part of many scientific discoveries and of the history of museums, which in the light of this evolution are called upon to reinterpret their relationship with the community. With its numerous projects, MUSE Trento aims to promote the idea of a shared and accessible science, offering citizens the tools and knowledge to interpret the complexity of the world around us and to face the challenges of the future with awareness. The event will be held in Italian with simultaneous translation. Admission is free, with prior booking request, by writing to iicmadrid@esteri.it, indicating “SCIENCE WEEK” in the subject of the email and the name, surname and telephone number of all the people for whom the booking is requested.
