Starring the singer Diana Navarro, from 11 November to 2 January 2022 the musical En tierra extraña (In a Strange Land) is coming to the Teatro Español in Madrid.

The musical tells the story of a fictional encounter between three Spanish artists on the eve of the Civil War. The famous copla singer Concha Piquer tries, with the help of her friend Rafael de León, to meet Federico García Lorca, whom she has wanted for a long time and intends to warn him about the situation in the country. Everything goes according to plan until the murder of José del Castillo occurs and Lorca is torn between staying in Spain or going to Mexico. Maybe he should run away. Concha tells him that she can provide him with a ticket to Mexico right then and there. He must not waste a minute. But the poet is not so sure that this is his destination. Spain is his homeland. And he will never feel IN A FOREIGN LAND. Tickets are available at this link.
