This evening at 8pm, the Instituto Francés of Madrid will screen the film Gaza mon amour, directed by Tarzan and Arab Nasser and starring Salim Daw, Hiam Abbass and Maisa Abd Elhadi. The screening will be in the original version with Spanish subtitles.

Issa is a 60-year-old fisherman who is in love with Siham, a co-worker of his young daughter. One day during his day at sea he finds an ancient phallic statue of Apollo in his nets. Not knowing what to do with it, or who to inform about this incredible discovery, the man decides to keep the sculpture in his house until he decides what to do with it. Issa does not know what the figure means, but he has a feeling that it will change his life. In the following days, unexpectedly, the fisherman is filled with confidence and courage to approach Siham and express his feelings. Booking at this link.
