The Diplomat
The Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Danka Savić, and Bojan Dozet, Honorary Consul of the Balkan country for the Spanish regions of Andalusia, Valencia and Murcia, officially opened the Honorary Consulate of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Alicante last Friday.
Representatives of regional and municipal institutions, as well as representatives of the Diplomatic Corps and several members of the BiH diaspora in Spain gathered at the reception held on that occasion at the Consulate.
Addressing the audience, Ambassador Danka Savić expressed her conviction that “in the coming times the Honorary Consulate of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Alicante will work to make Spanish citizens more familiar with their country”.
“We hope that the opening of the Honorary Consulate in Alicante will strengthen trade relations between our two countries, as well as the ties between our diaspora and the diplomatic and consular missions in the Kingdom of Spain. Our consul has already carried out a number of activities and, among other things, talks have begun on the establishment of the first airline with Bosnia and Herzegovina,” the ambassador added.
The honorary consul, Bojan Dozet Kapor, is a native of Sarajevo and has lived in Spain since 1992. He is a lawyer and together with his partner has been running the Berger-Dozet law firm for the last five years. The Honorary Consulate is located in the same office. This is the second Honorary Consulate of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Kingdom of Spain, the first one having been opened in Barcelona more than ten years ago.
