Ibero-America, a multilateral actor? The challenges of Ibero-American cooperation in the post-pandemic era is the title of the colloquium organised by the Fundación Alternativas tomorrow at 5 p.m. on the occasion of the launch of its Report Ibero-America 2021: The Ibero-American system and multilateralism: a perspective of progress.
With a presentation by Erika Rodríguez, coordinator of the Latin America Area of Fundación Alternativas. Coordinator of the Iberoamerica 2021 Report; and the participation of Marisa Ramos, Professor of Political Science and Administration, Complutense University of Madrid; Cristina Xalma, researcher specialising in South-South and Triangular Cooperation in Iberoamerica, and Leonel Fernández, President of FUNGLODE, former President of the Dominican Republic, they will discuss the challenges of regional cooperation in the Ibero-American space in the post-pandemic period, intra-regional advances as well as at the multilateral level: initiatives related to vaccines, support mechanisms for middle-income countries, and migration. In addition, the perspectives and continuity of Ibero-America as a multilateral actor in the post-pandemic period will be defined with a view to the next Ibero-American Summit in 2022 in the Dominican Republic.
