The Government will allocate 829,000 euros from the European Next Generation EU Funds to strengthen the Spanish Chambers of Commerce and the Chambers Federations abroad.
The Official State Gazette (BOE) yesterday published the call for these grants, whose objective is to contribute to the digital transformation and modernization of the Chambers in order to strengthen their communication systems and telematic services and improve the competitiveness of Spanish companies abroad, in line with the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
“It is essential to join the digital world to successfully face internationalization as it opens up opportunities to create new businesses, as well as to be more competitive and resilient,” said yesterday the Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism, Reyes Maroto. “In this context, the Spanish Chambers of Commerce and official Federations abroad play a key role in helping and advising our companies to open up in the foreign market”, she added.
The application period is 20 working days from the day following the day of publication in the BOE. The application for aid can be made through the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism’s ‘Electronic Procedures’ website.
