The Government of Spain yesterday regretted the death of eleven people and the numerous human and material damages caused by Cyclone Shaheen in the Sultanate of Oman, especially in the northern and southern regions of Batinah.
In a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Government of Spain “wishes to convey its sincere condolences and solidarity to the families of the deceased and affected and to the people of the Sultanate of Oman, as well as its wishes for a speedy return to normalcy.” “The Embassy of Spain in Muscat is in contact with the Spanish community, and is not aware of any Spaniards among those affected,” he added.
