in Leisure

Within the framework of the Classical Music Cycle Korea 2021 and organised by the Cultural Centre of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Spain in collaboration with the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando, the Korean violinist Jinjoo Cho will give a concert on Thursday 16 September at 12 noon in the Salón de Actos of the Royal Academy.

The virtuoso will be accompanied by pianist Kwan Yi and will perform four pieces by composers M. Ravel, Camille Saint-Saëns, Sarasate and Manuel de Falla. In addition, before his concert in Madrid, he will also give a recital in the Musikene Auditorium as a result of the collaboration between the San Sebastian City Council and Donostia Kultura, within the framework of the Korean Cultural Festival in the city of Donostia/San Sebastian, to be held on 14 September at 7.30 p.m. with free admission until full capacity is reached. Critics define Jinjoo Cho as “an artist with undeniable charisma and depth, and with an intense lyricism and heartfelt tenderness capable of running down the spine”. This concert is part of the Classical Music Cycle born in 2018 and organised by the Korean Cultural Centre in Spain with the aim of expanding the knowledge of Korean performers in Europe.
