The Fundación Excelentia begins a Silent Film Series with Chaplin
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

On the 11th and 15th of September at 19.30 hours, the Fundación Excelentia presents at the Club Monteverdi (Calle Almagro, 36, 1st floor) a Silent Film Series in Concert, with a double Chaplin session: The Tramp and A Night in the Show (Charlot at the Theatre), with live piano music by Jorge Gil Zulueta.

The Tramp (1915) is the last film shot by Chaplin at Essanay Studios. Chaplin made a film with a beginning, a development and an end, which is also the first to show the long road that leads nowhere and the character’s tenderness with women. The film A Night in the Show (1915) is an adaptation of and homage to the work Chaplin had done with the Karno company in London in the play A Night at an English Music Hall. After the films, you can enjoy a drink in the Piano Bar or on the Terrace of the club. Tickets can be purchased by calling 91 4574061 / 91 4583089 or by sending an email to reservas@clubmonteverdi.com.
