The Centro Sefarad-Israel is holding a conference tomorrow at 6 p.m. on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Babi Yar massacre, which took place on 29 and 30 September 1941 in the outskirts of Kiev.
This conference on the Holocaust in Ukraine will take a journey through the main Jewish centres of the country: Kiev, Lwow and Odessa, as well as the towns of Berditchev, Zithomir, Rovno, Brody, Zhovkva, Dohobrych, Chernovitz, Madzibush and Vynitza. The lecture will be given by Mario Sinay, Doctor of Education, Holocaust educator and expert in visual analysis. Mario Sinay is also an educational tour guide to Poland, the Baltics, Ukraine, the Balkans, Belarus and Sepharad. Mario Sinay will also focus on the Holocaust by bullets and mass graves with reference to the Babi Yar case in Kiev, the Lwow pogrom and the Odessa massacre. In addition, he will present the theme of partisans as well as stories of the Righteous of the Nations of Ukraine.
