The Instituto Italiano de Cultura of Madrid and the ASCIP Dante Alighieri of Porto invite you to the events Tradire Dante, el arte de traducir la Divina Commedia (the 29th at 8 p.m.. Conference to analyse and reflect on the challenges that the translation of the Divine Comedy presents to the translator) and Divina Commedia, concerto e letture, the 30 th, (a proposal that combines literature, music and film: the reading of passages from the Commedia will alternate with the performance of the pieces that the Portuguese composer Fernando Valente wrote in 2019, inspired by the Dantean masterpiece, at the invitation of the ASCIP Dante Alighieri, and the screening of parts of the 1911 Italian feature film Inferno, by Francesco Bertolinique.
These events are part of Dante in the Camino de Santiago, an international project promoted by the ASCIP Dante Alighieri of Porto and are included in the Madrid Città/Ciudad Dantesca initiative. For both events, entrance is free, with prior reservation request, by writing to prensa.iicmadrid@esteri.it and indicating name, surname and telephone contact of all persons for whom the reservation is requested. For the event tomorrow, 29 September, you must book today before 2pm; for the event on the 30th, you must book before the 29th at the same time.
