World War II (1939-1945). In a small French town lives Barny, a young widow who works in the post office. She and her daughter suffer the rigours of war, rationing, the black market and raids. To avoid the deportation of her child, the daughter of a Jewish father, she sends her to the countryside. But, driven by despair, she seeks solace in the confessional and unburdens herself by declaring herself an atheist. The screening will be in the original version with Spanish subtitles.
