Throughout this week, AECID and Casa América present the Central America Counts Festival, a literary programme that includes thematic talks between writers from Latin America on different topics, such as the paths to forge identity or wandering writing, as well as the relationship between literature and politics, and a sample of the new voices of current literature.
This afternoon at 7 p.m. in the Gabriela Mistral Amphitheatre, the first dialogue of this Festival will be held on Literature and Latin America between the writers Sergio Ramírez and Mario Vargas Llosa, with the presentation by Enrique Ojeda Vila, Director General of Casa de América; Pilar Cancela Rodríguez, Secretary of State for International Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, and Sergio Ramírez, President of the Central America Counts Festival. Carlos Granés (Colombia) and Pilar Reyes (Colombia) will moderate the event. The event can be followed live on the diplomatic cultural centre’s Twitter and Youtube networks. Free admission until full capacity is reached.
