The Diplomat
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, José Manuel Albares, held yesterday a working breakfast with his Chilean counterpart, Andrés Allamand, with whom he discussed the upcoming trip to Spain by the President of the South American country, Sebastián Piñera.
According to the Ministry, Allamand received the Chilean Minister of Foreign Affairs at the Palacio de Viana, in Madrid, where both discussed “matters of the bilateral agenda” and talked about Piñera’s upcoming trip to Spain and the situation in the region.
Piñera begins today a ten-day tour of Italy, France, Spain and the United Kingdom, in which he will meet with some of the main leaders of the countries, such as the French President, Emmanuel Macron; Pope Francis; the British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson; King Philip VI and the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez. The president thus resumes the tour planned for last June, which was postponed due to the worsening of the coronavirus pandemic in Chile.
