The United States has already evacuated more than 2,000 Afghan nationals to Rota, after three planes carrying a total of 372 people landed at the naval base in Cadiz yesterday, according to the U.S. Embassy.
So far, nine US flights have arrived in Rota, under the agreement between Madrid and Washington to receive up to a total of 4,000 Afghans evacuated by the United States for a maximum temporary period of fourteen days.
Yesterday, 128 of the Afghans who arrived at the base a few days ago left on a flight to the United States, joining the 350 who did so on Tuesday.
