The Lisbon pianist Maria João Pires performs an extraordinary programme of Chopin’s Nocturnes at the Teatro Real in Madrid with the concert company La Filarmónica, whose recording is one of the best-selling and made her a celebrity.
The date is Wednesday 29 September in double session (19.00 h and 21.30 h), and the programme includes Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 32, in C minor, op. 111, together with 3 Nocturnes, op. 9, 2 Nocturnes, op. 27, the Nocturne 19 in E minor, op.
