The Diplomat
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, José Manuel Albares, received the Foreign Minister of Uruguay, Francisco Bustillo, last Friday at the Palacio de Viana.
Bustillo, who was appointed to the post of foreign minister just over a year ago, was ambassador to Spain between 2012 and 2020.
On his Twitter account, the Uruguayan foreign minister said he had discussed in detail with Albares “all aspects of the rich and fruitful bilateral relationship that both nations maintain”. He added that they also exchanged opinions and approaches on many issues of the Ibero-American reality and the world scenario.
The Spanish minister, for his part, thanked Bustillo for his visit, with which, he said, “we continue to strengthen our excellent bilateral relations”.
