The Diplomat
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, José Manuel Albares, held a telephone conversation yesterday with his Estonian counterpart, Eva-Maria Liimets, on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Madrid and Tallinn.
On his Twitter account, Albares said that the conversation highlighted the good relations between the two countries and their cooperation within the framework of the EU and NATO.
On the same social network, Liimets, who described Spain as a “firm ally and contributor to Estonia’s security”, added that they also discussed the worrying situation in Afghanistan, where, he said, “the EU’s joint approach is important”.
