The Diplomat
The diplomat Alejandra del Río Novo was appointed yesterday by the Council of Ministers as Director of the Cabinet of the Minister of Territorial Policy and Government Spokesperson, Isabel Rodríguez García.
Alejandra del Río has been a diplomat since 1999 and was assigned to the Cabinet of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, where she arrived in August 2020, when Arancha González Laya was at the head of the Palace of Santa Cruz.
Previously, she has been director of the Cabinet of the Secretary of State for International Cooperation, has been second in command of the Spanish Embassies in Qatar and Israel and has been a counsellor in the Spanish Representation to the United Nations.
She has also been an advisory member of the Protocol Department of the Presidency of the Government and Spanish Consul in Buenos Aires.
