In its XXXVII edition, the Republic of Korea is the guest country of the Veranos de la Villa 2021 festival organised by the Department of Culture, Tourism and Sport of the Madrid City Council.
In The Diplomat we already reported on the exhibition Catorce Relatos Breves (Fourteen Short Stories), which will be on show at the Centro Cultural Casa de Vacas (Retiro) until 29 August. Until 29 August, a varied programme of cultural activities will be held in different venues around the city so that locals and visitors to the city can learn more about Korean culture through its artists. Tomorrow at 10 p.m. there will be a jazz concert by Youn Sun Nah & Ulf Wakenius, in the Central Patio of the Conde Duque Cultural Centre. On the 12th and 13th of this month at 8 p.m. in the Theatre of the same Cultural Centre, the play The History Of Korean Western Theatre, with the artist Jaha Koo, will be performed. The artist Lee Lee Nam will show his art from 12 to 14 August at 22:00 on the outdoor screen of the Teatro Lope de Vega with The Signal Of Light. And finally, for family audiences, on the 14th and 15th at 12 noon, the show Iyagui: Korean Tales, by the artist 4 Lunas, will take place in the Sala de las Bóvedas of the Centro Cultural Conde Duque.
