The tribute to Juan Padrón continues with ‘Vampires in Havana!’

As part of the tribute to Cuban animated filmmaker Juan Padrón, Casa América is showing this evening and on Friday 23rd July at 7pm the legendary 1985 animated film Vampires in Havana!, recognised as one of the most relevant works of the genre and one of the few in the collection of the MoMa in New York.

 

An animated film noir parodying classic gangster films. Mafia vampires of various nationalities try to steal a magic formula that will allow them to live quietly in the light of day. The Vampisol formula has been transferred to Havana by its inventor. Free admission. Capacity 30 seats. Numbered tickets will be distributed at the box office of the Information Point (Plaza de Cibeles s/n) of Casa de América, one hour before the start of the activity.
