On the 42nd anniversary of the triumph of the Sandinista Revolution that overthrew the Somoza dynasty, Casa América is organising tomorrow at 8.30 pm the digital debate What became of Sandinismo?, which will analyse how it evolved and what remains of that revolutionary process.

The Revolution led by Augusto César Sandino was the last armed revolution in the most recent history of Latin America and was received with great enthusiasm both inside and outside Nicaragua’s borders. The analysis and debate will include the participation of Sergio Ramírez, who was Vice-President of the country between 1984 and 1990, and Professor Salvador Marti i Puig. The debate will be moderated by Mª Dolores Albiac, journalist and international analyst. No audience in person, only on Casa América’s Twitter and YouTube channels.
