The pianist and vocalist Mar Vilaseca closes the Teatro del Barrio’s season by presenting Find the way, her debut jazz album, today and tomorrow.
Music runs in her family: her father is the pianist Jaume Vilaseca. After training at the Conservatori del Liceu and the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya, among other centres, she began a promising career with her own compositions and interpretations that draw on diverse styles and artists: the pop of the Beatles, the black music of the 70s, soul, gospel and, of course, jazz, in all its trends and standards, which the artist imbues with her style.
