On Sunday 25 July at 8 p.m. in Madrid’s Plaza de Oriente, the concert Songs of Unity. Songs of Victory, by the Turetsky Choir and Soprano.
In this recital, promoted by the Moscow Government, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Common Business Foundation and the Russian Embassy in Spain, the most famous and popular songs that form the living memory of several generations will be performed, a unique project that unites the whole world in a true symphony of feelings. There is no frivolity or concessions to fashions, these are songs composed and sung by the Soviet people and soldiers during the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945) which, from generation to generation, have become part of the popular music of Russia and other countries of the Eurasian world. The aim is to connect epochs and generations in order to safeguard the memory of the deeds and sufferings of ancestors and the memory of the events of the Great Patriotic War, to strengthen the bonds of friendship between countries and their cultures, to unite and proclaim faith in a better future, and to help give an objective image of Russia in the world.
