This evening at 7 p.m. Casa Mediterráneo, in collaboration with the Oceanogràfic of Valencia, presents the catalogue of the exhibition We are water at its headquarters, as part of the Objetivo Mediterráneo cycle.
This exhibition, on display at the Oceanogràfic until the end of the month, is a work in which Isabel Muñoz confronts us with our lack of commitment to one of the main challenges we face: the protection of the seas and oceans. Uncontrolled dumping, pressure on marine species and the depletion of certain resources endanger the survival of our species. The winner of the National Photography Prize has spent the last five years of her life diving under the waters of the seas, oceans and aquatic environments to invite us to reflect on the generosity of nature and the mistreatment it receives in response. The catalogue is a special publication with the photographs that make up the exhibition, with a deluxe design and format, so that it will live on in the memory. The catalogue will be presented with the assistance of the renowned photographer and the curator of the exhibition, Gertrud Gómez, who will comment on the creative process. In addition, the artist Asun Noales will perform a choreography in the space where the installation of photographs printed on fabrics simulating a posidonia meadow is located.
