The Japanese historical drama Wife of a Spy, directed and written by Kiyoshi Kurosawa, together with Ryusuke Hamaguchi, and starring Yû Aoi, Issey Takahashi and Masahiro Higashide, has been released in Madrid.
1940, Japan. Yusaku (Issey Takahashi) is the director of a prestigious commercial company in Kobe (Japan), and is married to Satoko (Yu Aoi). For work reasons he has to make a trip to Manchuria in the middle of World War II. During his stay he witnesses a terrible event. When Yusaku returns to Kobe, Satoko is plagued by doubts about who her husband is, and although she claims to believe her husband and be loyal to him, a turn of events will betray Yusaku to the police.
