The Instituto Italiano de Cultura exhibits works by Michael Fliri

Continuing its work to promote contemporary Italian art, the Instituto Italiano de Cultura in Madrid presents tomorrow and until 30 September the first major solo exhibition of Michael Fliri (Tubre, 1978) in Spain: La luz nunca ve una sombra, organised in collaboration with the Galleria Raffaella Cortese, Milan.

This is an important opportunity to delve into the wide-ranging research of one of the most interesting Italian artists of his generation on an international level. The exhibition presents a selection of more than twenty works produced from 2007 to the latest results of his experimentation. In each of the Institute’s exhibition rooms there is a series of works unified into three major themes of his artistic career: Exhibition Hall “Landscape”; Hall of Mirrors “Identity”; Belvedere Hall “Light”. The works exhibited in each room are necessary for the creation and development of the preceding or subsequent series in a fluid and circular evolution. Likewise, references, coherence and metamorphosis are other pillars of Fliri’s work.
