The International Investors Council of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and CEOE have organised a meeting on Monday, the 5th, in which representatives of the main Emirati sovereign wealth funds and Spanish companies with interests in the Arab country will participate.
The meeting will begin at 11.30 a.m. and has been prepared in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy of the Emirates, the Embassy of that country in Spain, the Secretary of State for Trade, ICEX Invest in Spain and the Secretary of State for Global Spain.
The aim of this public-private initiative is to raise awareness of the possibilities for collaboration between the main Emirati sovereign wealth funds and Spanish companies in the post-Covid-19 situation.
The meeting is expected to be attended, among others, by the Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Thani Alzeyoudi; and on the Spanish side, by the Secretary of State for Trade, Xiana Méndez, and the Secretary of State for Global Spain, Manuel Muñiz. The ambassadors of the UAE in Madrid, Majid Al-Suwaidi, and of Spain in Dubai, Antonio Álvarez-Barthe, will also attend.
In addition, the Vice-President of CEOE, Íñigo Fernández de Mesa, and the Secretary General of the Emirates International Investors Council, Jamal Saif Al Jarwan, will sign a memorandum of understanding.

The Expo Dubai 2020, which could not be held last year due to the pandemic, is scheduled to open on 1 October and is expected to be attended by more than 190 countries, including Spain.
