“This initiative is a further demonstration of the solidarity of the Spanish people with the Lebanese people and will help ensure the welfare of its population, a key factor for the stability and security of the country”, the Ministry stated in a press release.
Spain has been participating since September 2006 in the United Nations Mission in Lebanon (UNIFIL), whose main objective is to maintain international peace and security by helping the Lebanese government to re-establish its authority in the area.
