Starring Emily Blunt, Jamie Dornan, Jon Hamm and Christopher Walken, the film Una canción irlandesa (Wild Mountain Thyme), directed by Oscar, Tony and Pulitzer Prize winner John Patrick Shanley, opened yesterday.

The film sets the viewer in the idyllic landscapes of rural Ireland, where stubborn farmer Rosemary Muldoon wants to win the love of her shy neighbour Anthony Reilly, but he remains unmoved by his beautiful admirer. All is complicated when Anthony’s father plans to sell the family farm to his American nephew, who falls in love with Rosemary when he arrives at the farm. The film’s original title refers to a Celtic folk song adapted over the years by many musicians such as Bob Dylan and Joan Baez, George Harrison, Van Morrison, Rod Stewart and Ed Sheeran, among others.
