The Director of the Elcano Royal Institute, Charles Powell, was decorated yesterday at the residence of the Polish Ambassador, Marzenna Adamczyk, with the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland, awarded for his merits in the field of development of Spanish-Polish relations.
At the ceremony, the Ambassador presented Powell with the distinction for his “notable contribution to Spanish-Polish relations through his academic work and as Director of the Elcano Royal Institute”.
Cooperation between Spain and Poland has intensified in recent years, and the meetings, forums and debates organised by the Elcano Royal Institute under the impetus of its director, Charles Powell and his team have contributed to this.
