The Círculo Intercultural Hispano Árabe (CIHAR) presents next Friday at 7 p.m., at the Instituto Egipcio in Madrid (Calle Francisco de Asís Méndez Casariego, 1) a meeting with Arab women writers who write in Spanish.
The Spanish-Arabic interculturality is not only in the social or historical aspects as common elements, but also in the literary contributions that from both sides of the Mediterranean are expressed through the pens of Arabists and Hispanists. The event will be introduced by the Director of the Instituto Egipcio in Madrid, Dr Rasha Ismail. The introduction will be given by CIHAR’s vice-president, Nour Larbi, who will then talk to two Arab writers: Bahira Abdulatif, from the Arab Levant (al-Mashreq), and Souad Hadj-Ali, from the Arab West (al-Magreb).
