Casa Mediterráneo chooses poetry to begin its activities this week. This evening, at 7pm in online mode, it presents a meeting with the writer and poet, specialist in children’s and young people’s literature Mar Benegas, as part of the series Mediterranean Poetry.

Tomorrow Tuesday at the same time, Casa Mediterráneo joins in the celebration of World Oceans Day with the opening of the photographic exhibition Somos agua (We Are Water) –pictured-, by the artist Isabel Muñoz. The exhibition, featuring the Japanese freediver Ai Futaki in the Oceanogràfic’s installations, will be on display in Casa Mediterráneo’s Blue Space until the 30th of July. The following day, Wednesday, there will be a virtual colloquium on the Moroccan film Sofia. The 20-year-old Sofia lives with her parents in Casablanca. She hides her pregnancy and then has to give birth illegally and out of wedlock. The hospital gives her 24 hours to present the father’s papers before alerting the authorities… Viewing guide available here. Also, on the 11th and 12th of June, online, there will be musical performances of Al Andalus s. XXI, by the group Burruezo & Nur Camerata. On Friday 11 at Casa Mediterráneo at 19:00 and on Saturday 12 at Jardín de los Expulsos (Ojós, Murcia), at 20:00. Registration required by email eventos@casa-mediterraneo.es.
