New York, 1990s. Joanna is a young aspiring writer who gets a job at a literary agency as an assistant to Margaret, J.D. Salinger’s literary agent. Among other tasks, Joanna has to answer the numerous letters sent by fans from all over the world to the author of The Catcher in the Rye. Departing from protocol, Joanna begins to personalise the replies. While using the voice of a great writer, she will begin to discover her own.
