Until 3 June, the Consulate General of Italy in Barcelona is organising a conference dedicated to the future of cities: FUTURA. Culture and sustainability in cities. Milan and Barcelona.
With the collaboration of the Fundació Conservatori del Liceu, the Instituto Italiano of Culture of Barcelona, the Italian Chamber of Commerce of Barcelona and CASA SEAT, these two metropolises are joining forces to share their experience of sustainability in fields such as the inclusive and green economy, environmental protection, social integration, culture and local food and wine, to which they have dedicated themselves in recent years, becoming leaders in these areas. The initiative is a continuation of the event organised by the Consulate in June 2020, Sotto le stelle in Piazza Grande, which rekindled the dialogue between Barcelona and Milan during the Covid -19 pandemic. This time, its name, Futura, recalls another emblematic song by Lucio Dalla from 1980 inspiring hope and change, declined to the feminine. CASA SEAT and the Auditori del Conservatori del Liceu are the main venues for Futura. All the information is available on the Italian Consulate website.
