Four trade unions represented in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have sent a letter to the head of the department, Arancha González Laya, in which they reproach her for the non-compliance she made to the trade union representatives on Wednesday 19th of last week to present them with a plan to vaccinate foreign service personnel before the end of the week.
In the letter, CCOO, CSIF, SISEX and UGT remind the minister that at the meeting she held with them she promised to issue an information note that same week on the vaccination plan and guidelines to be followed for public employees and their families abroad who travel to Spain during their holiday period. One week later,” they stress, “the trade union centres have not received any information on the matter up to the time of issuing this note”.
The unions describe as “intolerable” the “lack of action” on the part of González Laya and his team and add: “We demand the fulfilment of what was promised and provide certainty to the public employees affected”.
“The failure to fulfil the commitment made to all trade union organisations, and the lack of operability of his management team, is a lack of ethics unworthy of the actions of a European administration,” the letter concludes.
