The Diplomat
Hiramatsu Kenji, Ambassador of Japan, has released a video in which he explains the beauty and tradition of spring in Japan. He also highlights the events that the Japanese Embassy is holding on its social networks (Facebook, Twitter and YouTube) until 31 May for the Japanese Cultural Spring, a series of free online events that will bring the public closer to the traditions of Japan in spring.
Among them, the most outstanding is Hanami (= flower contemplation), whereby, with the arrival of spring, visits to parks, gardens, fields and forests in bloom all over Japan multiply.
On this occasion, the Japanese legation invites you to send photos to this link of those flowery landscapes in each Autonomous Community that most resemble those of Japan. In other words, where a Japanese visitor would feel like in Japan in spring. The Embassy of Japan will publish the most original photos on its social networks, with the name of the author and the location of the photographed enclave so that it can be visited in spring by Japanese residents or tourists. To this end, it suggests that the photo be accompanied by a caption or an inviting phrase alluding to the spring landscape.
The online cultural events of the Japanese Cultural Spring include among others: origami workshops, Sumi-e painting, spring music concerts, ikebana, bonsai, washoku and much more, as well as the posts that will be published in the coming weeks, which will be related to the Japanese spring, so they can serve as inspiration to look for Spanish places that most resemble Japan in spring. All the information on these cultural events can be found at this link.
