The new president of the Consejo de Empresarios Iberoamericanos-CEIB and president of the Confederación Patronal de la República Dominicana-COPARDOM, William Matías Ramírez, paid a visit to the CEOE yesterday.
Ramírez, who was accompanied by the vice-president of the organisation, Pedro Rodríguez, held a meeting with the secretary general of the CEOE, José Alberto González Ruiz, and with the director general of the CEOE and CEIB Permanent Secretary, Narciso Casado.
The meeting analysed the economic situation of the region and of Spain and the Dominican Republic in particular, in the wake of the COVID 19 pandemic. In addition, they reviewed how business organisations have worked to adopt solutions, especially in terms of solidarity, to overcome the crisis and face the economic recovery.
The representatives of CEOE, CEIB and COPARDOM also took stock of the XIII Ibero-American Business Meeting held in Andorra, in which more than 100 speakers took part both in person and virtually, so the meeting also served to assess the success of both the Meeting and the Summit.
At the meeting, Ramírez explained the involvement and commitment of his business organisation and the business community of the Dominican Republic to the next Summit and the events taking place within its framework, specifically the 14th Ibero-American Business Meeting, to be organised by SEGIB, CEIB and COPARDOM in the Caribbean country in 2022.
For his part, Narciso Casado stressed the importance of having organised the XIII Ibero-American Business Meeting in a mixed format: face-to-face and virtual; and of having been able to follow it in streaming through the platform that was set up for the event and which will be accessible for a month.
Casado also informed the representative of the Dominican businessmen of the lines of work being carried out in the period between summits by SEGIB and CEIB, in collaboration with the Ibero-American Federation of Young Entrepreneurs.
