As part of the César 2021 film series, the Instituto Francés of Madrid is screening the film Un fils, by Medhi M. Barsaoui, this evening at 20:00.
The film tells the story of how Farès and Meriem, together with their 10-year-old son Aziz, form a modern Tunisian family of privileged origins. During a trip to the south of Tunisia, their car is targeted by a terrorist group and the young boy is seriously injured… This accident will turn his life and that of his partner upside down. Born in Tunis in 1984, Mehdi Barsaoui graduated from the Higher Institute of Multimedia Arts in Tunis and the DAMS in Bologna (Italy). He has directed three short films, selected and awarded at several international festivals. His first feature film project in 2020, Un fils, was selected for the Bourse d’Aide du Cinemed 2015.
