This afternoon at 5pm, Casa de América will present a new edition of its virtual cycle Acá es Aquí, where it will highlight the trajectory of outstanding Dominicans in Spain.
The dialogue will be chaired by Juan Bolívar Díaz, ambassador of the Dominican Republic, and Rebeca Guinea, director of programming at Casa de América, and the round table will include Ángela Carrasco, singer, actress, Latin Grammy Award for Musical Excellence (2015); Julio de Castro, academic, professor and director of the PhD programme at IE Business School (Madrid, Spain); Luis Abreu, gastroenterologist, head of the Emeritus Service of the Digestive System at the Hospital La Luz and at the Clínica Puerta de Hierro, Faculty of Medicine, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid; Carla Jovine, publicist, film producer and entrepreneur. The event will be moderated by Crismeidy Ureña, Dominican journalist, ceo of Soy Caribe Premium magazine and Kleverlink communication agency. The virtual cycle Acá es Aquí aims to give voice to the experience of Latin Americans in their integration process in Spain, as well as to recognise their valuable contribution to various areas such as society, the economy and culture.
