Casa Mediterráneo kicks off its cultural events this week this evening at 7 p.m. with an analysis by Gaetano Leone (pictured), coordinator of the UNEP (United Nations Environment Programme) Mediterranean Action Plan of the latest report on the state of the environment and development in the Mediterranean published by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
Tomorrow, Tuesday at 11 a.m., the RTVE correspondent in Paris, Almudena Ariza, will be the protagonist of the April session of Journalists and the Mediterranean which will deal with international current affairs, with France, the future of the EU and the geostrategic area of the Mediterranean, with the contribution of the vision and experience of the veteran Spanish correspondent. The following day, Wednesday 14 at 19:00, and as part of the Mediterranean’s Histories series, the CSIC research professor, Alfredo Alvar, will talk about Cervantes, pilgrim in the Mediterranean, his captivity in Algiers and the undoubted psychological impact that this event had on his literary creation. Finally, on Friday 16th at 7 p.m., a new session of the Economy and the Mediterranean series will be held, in which economic and trade relations between Spain and Serbia will be analysed by Javier Álvarez Casanova, head of the Western Balkans region at the Secretary of State for Trade and former economic and trade advisor to the Spanish Embassy in Serbia; and José Ignacio Soriano Artacho, general manager of Eptisa Servicios de Ingeniería, who will explain his business experience in the country.
