The Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Spain, Ivan Jancárek, has inaugurated “7×7: New Czech Films”, a cycle of contemporary Czech cinema with seven current films that will be screened in seven different cities in Spain, at the Filmoteca de Zaragoza.
The exhibition, organised by the Embassy and the Czech Centre in Madrid, opened on the 7th with the film “Teorie tygra/La teoría del tigre” (Radek Bajgar, 2016) and will run until next Thursday, the 29th.
Ivan Jancárek expressed his satisfaction with the reception and the expectations created with “a selection of films that showcases the talent of the Czech film industry, but also serves to bring the viewer closer to the everyday life of the country,” he said.
For his part, the director of the Czech Centre in Madrid, Stanislav Skoda, pointed out that the cycle will tour six other cities in Spain, including Madrid and Barcelona, and expressed his satisfaction at “the good reception we have received from the Zaragoza City Council and the organisation of the city’s Filmoteca”.
